The mission of the Alaska Chapter of the American College of Surgeons is twofold. First, it is to improve the health of the region by promoting the highest standards of surgical care through education, mentorship, and fellowship. Second, it is to be an effective voice for surgeons in achieving these standards.
The purpose of the Chapter is to promote the aims, interests, ideals and programs of the American College of Surgeons and to serve as a means of communication between the members of the Chapter and the College. To elevate the standards of practice, training and education in surgery and provide a means through which the Fellows may communicate with other professional and civic groups concerned with the improved delivery of health care.
